ps24 Mail Issues
posted September 5 2010 02:21 pm EDT
We are currently rebuilding the mail database on this server which can take some time but should resolve any outstanding mail issues. During this time, we have stopped the flow of mail so that messages will queue up on the sending server (instead of possibly bouncing back). This means that all mail should be delivered but you may notice a mail delay or issues sending while the process is running. Thank you for your patience.
Update 3:45pm: The rebuild of the database is now complete and mail should be back online for all users; if you have trouble please submit a support ticket via your customer manager. Thank you\!
vz08 Maintenance
posted September 4 2010 05:03 pm EDT
Virtuozzo server vz08 has experienced more than one unexpected kernel panic today, causing brief periods of unplanned downtime while the machine reboots. To remedy this, we have now replaced the machine with a spare (all new motherboard, CPU, RAM, and RAID controller) and are running a full filesystem check. This should resolve the issue and we do not expect any further problems; thank you for your continued patience.
Update 5:30pm: The hardware replacement is complete and the filesystem check is now in progress.
Update 6:35pm: The filesystem check is now complete and we are applying kernel software updates to insure that the issue wasn't software related; containers should be starting up soon.
Update 7:20pm: Containers are running quota checks and starting up now; all containers should be online shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Update 8:10pm: All containers should be back online now.
Update 9/5 9am: No further issues were noted over the past 12 hours; we believe that this issue has been resolved.

cp05 Memory Replacement
posted August 13 2010 04:26 pm EDT
At this time, the onboard sensors in cPanel server cp05 are reporting correctable memory errors in one of the memory modules. This issue, if left untreated, could cause server instability. As such, we have shut the machine down for a few moments and are replacing the faulty memory module. This will take about 10 minutes and no further work will be required once this is complete. Thank you.
Update 4:40pm: This work is now complete and the server is back online.
Update 8/16/2010 5:11pm: We replaced the memory module that was reported as faulty last week, however, this machine is now reporting that the new module is also faulty. We believe that the motherboard itself (or the DIMM socket) is problematic, and as a precaution we are now in the process of replacing the motherboard. This should take about 10 minutes and should resolve this issue. Thank you for your patience.
Update 8/16/2010 5:30PM: The replacement has been completed successfully. All services are now back online and running as normal.
Intermittent ISP Issues
posted August 5 2010 03:13 pm EDT
At this time, we have received reports from a small number of customers that they are unable to access any sites within our network. We have verified that all of our connectivity providers are functioning properly and we are experiencing no outstanding issues at this time. We believe that one or more regional ISP's are having routing or backbone issues that are affecting these customers. If you are experiencing this issue we recommend that you contact your ISP, as the issue is unfortunately not under our control. Thank you.
